Your Reagan Rattlers rallied from an early 13-0 deficit at Wagner to win 23-20. A 37 yard pass from Trevor Knight to Logan Carver set up the game-winning 35 yard FG by Jake Wilcox with 0:20 left. (See game stats and game article.) -- ADH

Rattler Volleyball had a tremendous 2nd week improving their record to 19-1 while winning the Northeast Tournament on Saturday. The Express News rewarded their play by voting Reagan #1 in the city. Congratulations to Kayla Keller (Tournament MVP), Jamie Merriam (All Tournament) and Morgan Reed (All Tournament and Express News Game Ball). Come support the Rattlers tonight as they play at Incarnate Word at 7:30. Tomorrow Reagan will travel to Pearland to play in the highly competitive Pearland Tournament on thursday, friday, and saturday. Go Rattlers! MSC

After the graduation of Marcus Wright (more on him below), the SA E-N picked Your Rattlers to miss the football playoffs the last two seasons. Not only was the SA EN wrong, Your Rattlers won Reagan's first two District 26-5A titles and returned to the Region Finals in 2008. Let's hope that the SA EN got it right in 2010... as they have picked Reagan to win 26-5A and have ranked Your Rattlers #3 in the Area. Now the real work begins... proving it on the field. Be sure to get out to Rutledge Stadium on Friday night as Reagan kicks off the 2010 season at Wagner. Strike 'em!! -- ADH

The San Antonio Express News had a lot of top shelf talent to pick from when choosing their Team of the Decade. Rattler fans should recognize #21 in green, under the word "DOMINANCE"... as the SA EN chose Marcus Wright (now at Georgia Tech) as the Offensive Player of the Decade. On the right of the paper's insert, you will also see Spencer Nealy (Texas A&M) and Kyle Davis (Tulane) on the First Team Defense. Outstanding!! -- ADH

Former Rattler Soccer player, Georgia Mullins, scored the game winner in her first collegiate game at Baylor on Friday night. The Baylor Bears beat Rice 1-0. Congratulations Georgia!! Keep up the good work! For all the details check out the Waco news article.

Monday is the first day of school, but Friday the snakes packed the Reagan house for the annual "Rattler Round Up". Food, drink, and fun was on the agenda for everyone. Every spirit item you could imagine was for sale. To complete the day, the best pep rally in the state was held at the "Snake Pit". With most of the Reagan sports teams represented along with the great sounds of the award winning Reagan band, the incredible aerial show by the twirlers, and the amazing dance, pep and cheer team, only one thing could top this party, a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Your Reagan Rattler football teams scrimmaged against the Clark Cougars Friday morning. The Rattlers looked good in the opening plays. Coach Wetzel commented that there was allot of work to be done but that there were some good things that he saw on the field. The kids will rest up and begin the season at Rutledge stadium against The Wagner Thunderbird's Friday the 27th at 7:30pm.
