Reagan put the defensive clamps on the high scoring Steele team on Tuesday night to escape with a 44-43 win at Judson. Corrigan Tibbs led the way with 12 inside points, Tessa Ramirez had 3 crowd pleasing 3 pointers, Moriah Mack had 15 rebs, and the team defense denied a handful of desperate Steele shot attempts within the last 30 secs. Wendy Knight, who uncharacteristically missed two one and one attempts in the last minute, blocked the last shot to preserve the win. 32 - 4 Reagan will play Laredo Alexander on Friday night at UTSA at 8:00 in the regional semifinals.
Your Reagan Rattlers boys basketball team will play the Rattlers of San Marcos in Bi-District, this coming Mon Feb20 at 7:00pm at Canyon Lake HS. For a map with driving directions for how to get there, click on "Forms" and "directions to Canyon Lake HS.jpg". Without heavy traffic, it's about a 50 minute drive, so allow yourself some time to get there by tip-off. Good luck to the REAL Rattlers of Reagan! Strike 'em!! -- ADH
Reagan survived a comeback from O'Connor to prevail 45 - 42 at UTSA on Thursday night. With the win Reagan moves to 31 - 4, a school record for victories in a season, and advances to the 3rd round of the playoffs for the first time. Tessa Ramirez made two big one and one free throws with 34 seconds left to go up 3 and Corrigan Tibbs had a big rebound and putback of a missed free throw with 15 seconds left to provide the winning margin. O'Connor missed a long 3 at the buzzer. Next game versus Steele Tuesday night at Judson at 7:00.
Kevin Ambrocio and Trent Cooper placed first in the Region. State tournament is February 24/25 in Austin. Go Rattlers!!!
Reagan fought by the scrappy Judson Rockets team 51 - 42 on Monday night at Paul Taylor Gym. Judson's tough defense challenged the Rattlers, but they prevailed with some clutch 4th quarter play to pull away in the last 2 - 3 minutes after Judson had closed a 10 point lead down to 3. Reagan ties the school record with their 30th win. Next up will be O'Connor on Thursday at UTSA, at 7:00. See details in the Girls Bball section of the website.

Your Reagan Rattlers play a crucial 26-5A contest tonight, tipping off at Lee HS at 6:30 vs. Ladybird. Reagan has two games left in the regular season (finishing with TR at 5pm Mon at Littleton). Reagan's playoff scenarios are as follows: (1) only way to miss playoffs is to lose to both Ladybird and TR, and Mac has to beat Madison on Mon, (2) if Reagan beats Ladybird and TR, Reagan is 2 seed, (3) if Reagan beats Ladybird and TR loses to WC tonight, Reagan is 2 seed no matter what. Strike 'em, Rattlers!! -- ADH
